For infants under 4 months, Dr. Strutz will take your child to another room. Your child will be gently swaddled and a specialty formulated numbing gel will be applied. Glasses will be placed over your child's eyes, as well as everyone else's who is in the room, to protect them from the laser. The actual procedure generally takes 3-5 minutes. Some fussing or crying during the procedure is common.

Parents are always welcome in the treatment room, however know that your infant may pick up your anxiety and emotions and thus your child may become more stressed.
We are pleased to use a laser, as this means minimal (if any) bleeding and more immediate healing.
